A booking assistant can mean a chatbot, a template tool or a reminder system. Check what it actually does before trusting it with your clients.
An AI booking assistant might interpret a message, suggest a reply or draft text. A rules-based booking tool can check availability, fill an agreement and send a timed email without using a language model. Those are different capabilities. Ask a provider to demonstrate the exact workflow instead of assuming that the word AI means everything happens unattended.
What to check before choosing a booking assistant
- Does a booking become a request, a reserved slot or a confirmed appointment?
- Which messages send automatically, through which channel, and which need approval?
- Does the tool collect money, import bank transactions or record payments you enter?
- Does a contract use clauses you control or newly generated wording? Can you review it before sending?
- Can you open a client’s previous look, product notes and appointment history on your phone?
How Artisee handles booking admin

Contracts: review the wording, whoever fills it
In Artisee’s booking-to-contract workflow, the client’s name, service and booking details fill clauses you can edit. Creating a booking alone does not send an agreement. You choose to create the contract, review it and send a signing link. The client signs in their browser. A completed signature does not mean the client has paid.
Optional AI writing assistance is separate from that workflow. For example, Artisee can help convert wording you paste from an existing document into a reusable contract template. Review the conversion before using it. This does not turn booking-to-contract filling, payment recording or Repeat this look into autonomous AI actions.
Payments: recording is different from collection
Clients pay through the methods you already use outside Artisee. You enter the received deposit or payment and keep the balance with the booking. Artisee is not a payment processor and does not automatically detect an incoming bank transfer.
Client memory between appointments
A makeup artist can keep skin type, undertone, allergies and preferences in the client’s beauty profile. A face chart records the look, foundation and shade, products, lashes, techniques and feedback for a job, with one final-look photo. The most recent chart is available from the client page. Repeat this look copies written details; it does not generate a new look with AI or copy the previous photo.
When you need a different tool
If your requirement is an autonomous receptionist that negotiates appointments in chat, integrated client payment collection or a consumer marketplace that supplies new clients, those are not Artisee’s booking workflow. Start with the capability you need and verify it in a demonstration.
